What features/implementations could help improve Steam Machines?
Could valve copy or adapt some features similar to current consoles? Could support for things such as modding games be implemented as a feature to rival other consoles? What else could valve do to step up their game in the console market?

If Valve allows the same editing and modding of their current games the same way as on a normal PC to steam boxes, It could intrigue the audience aware of modding. Though most general console players probably don't even know what modding is so it won't attract anyone there

also many programs such as movie and tv show streaming would make the console a better entertainment device

One thing that I hope they don't copy for this console is paid subscription to play games online which is a big reason why I prefer playing games on PC

One cool thing that I like about the xbox one and playstation is being able to record your gameplay while playing the game with hardly any lag in the game and instantly upload it to youtube or facebook.

if valve was smart they wouldn't add motion control like the rest of them.
